can anyone tell me if there is a firmware update to enable me to play cdr's on my player. it can play vcd svcd etc but won't play cdr's :confused:

you will have to use the followinf brands to play vcds,svcds on the sammy 709

i have a sammy 709 and the following cdrs work
sirius cdr
superior cdr
princo cdr
datasafe cdr (silver,frosted top) very hard to find now

thanks ever so much went to comp fair today and got some sirius cdr's copyied a
VCD
and a SVCD at slow speed and hey presto they worked as i said thanks alot to
Tafsir for letting me know i can know watch my films through dvd instead of watching with my computer
