As i understand it films that are under 4.38 gb are ok to backup 1:1.

I am just about to purchase a pioneer ao4. I read the ripping guide that sounds complicated. Does nero or anything else just do a direct back up.

Also the ao4 uses dvd-r . Am i entering the realms of the betamax saga of VHS or is it safe to continue.

I would really appreciate your help on this.

Thanks

Lawsy

you can't just back up a movie even if it fits on a dvdr doing a 1:1 copy.....
ypu need to use smartripper to remove the protection...this only takes 10 to 20 mins..............

For a DVD5 it is only a couple of minutes to rip and 30-60 to write.
