Just got a 40x LiteOn and have been having media troubles, some of the blanks i had it just doesn't like. the ones I bought with the drivework fine on my DVD player using both the LiteOn and my old writer but my car stereo doesn't like them.

So what I am asking is can anyone recommend good media for this drive which is very compatible.

Im in the UK and would like to get some today to test it out, so if possible recommendations for retail outlets please.

Cheers

Well I use Datasafe silver premium for everything, psx,ps2, music, data, vcd, svcd, dreamcast the whole lot.

I have had no trouble with them in my car multichanger, and they seem to be spot on for everything.

I buy mine from

www.121cdr.co.uk

They have excellent stocks and service, if you order before 2pm you get them the next day.

Another good thing is they do a cdr sample pack for about £3 with a mixture of branded cdrs. You could order these and try them to find which suits your needs the best.

I also have a lite on burner and have had no problem burning at full speed on the Datsafes.

HTH.

Anything made by Ritek works a treat. :)

As booboy2 said the Datasafe's work great, I think the silver's are still made by Ritek, I know the white-label Datasafe discs are.

The Liteon drive should work OK with just about any discs.
Try a few different disc types and if you are still having problems take it back and get a good one.

I'm suprised to see this post back.

Any way, as I didn't reply earlier. I went and got some Memorex CD's (made by Ritek) they were fine. I have now got a bunch of White Label disks from 121cdr.co.uk (again made by Ritek)

All sorted!

Cheers guys!
