I need a new unmetered isp, the criteria i need is.......

Accept payment via debit card, nochex or direct debit.....
No 12 month contract..........
Dial up from any number not just a nominated one........
True 24/7 access........
Would prefer no 2 hour cut off time.......

Webspace, email accounts etc are irrelevant.....

Any suggestions, i know i won't get it all but someone might know of a good one......

Wow! That is a cracking deal Colin, can you always get on though, and are the connection speeds any good? I'd love to ditch Freeserve.

Moving this to Consumers forum where it belongs.............

Can't believe how cheap this Gio is, they say that the more users they have the cheaper it will get and could fall to only £4.99 a month for 24/7 dial up. :D

Just had a look at them and they are cheap, 250 hrs a month for that price. Question though is can you dial in from anywhere.......

Main contender is aol at the mo, but at this price i'm willing to hang on for a bit.....

Just rung them up, they're ok if you are using them from a fixed number, but if you need mobile usage where you can dial in from any phone, they don't do it...... Oh well looks like ao-hell...........

As far as I know, AOL is the only dial up ISP who don't monitor the actual time of connection. This means that you can literally be on the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (reconnecting every 2 hrs).

You'll find that if you do this with other ISP's they'll eventually find out and boot you.

I did notice that they had another 24/7 deal for £14.99 with so say faster connections and contention ratio of 12:1 as opposed to 20:1 for the £7.99 service, how could that be a lot quicker than the cheap deal, they make it sound like it is.

I think I will try the £7.99 deal out.
