Does anyone out there know any utility, other than authoring tools, that can create a VOB out of a MPEG-2. Rather than spending alot of money on a good authoring tool I know that I can use VOBEdit, IFOEdit, FlaskMPG etc to create a DVD disk, plus I have utilities to burn that disk, but the only thing that I am missing is putting the MPEG(s) into a VOB file set. So if anyone has any idea's or has any suggestions please let me know.

Pretty sure that bbMPEG can do it.

Things that I have found....I checked out the Spruce-Up program, got the Demo Version, and I do like the way that it set's up the menus however I ran into problems with it when creating the MPEG VOB's, of which another demo authoring program, could do. So what I'll do is since it will write the VOB file for the Menu first to the disk, I can use this for my menu structure setup until the Demo version goes down.

As for the bbMPEG it does create AVI to MPEG but know where within the system can I find how to create VOB's. If I am wrong please let me know were I do click, however I thank you for your support.

Just had a quick look at bbMPEG and it can definatly multiplex VOB's (as well as encode MPEG's from AVI). I however have never tested it, so I have no idea how well it works.

DVD QuickBuilder demo can also multiplex VOB's.

I'll check again tonight, but last night it did not show any mpeg-2's for loading when I wanted to add a file, but I'll force it tonight and check if the output can be forced to VOB. Thanks again.

I checked again and you were correct with bbmpeg being able to create VOB files from MPEG-2 files, however it states that it will take over 10 hours to produce the VOB file while the demo Authoring Program, from 'Authoring Ware' only took 6 minutes. What the problem was was that I was alway's loading the AVI2MPG2_VGW.exe rather than the AVI2MPG2.exe program, which is the one that is able to do it. So I again thank you, and should you have any other ideas, please let me know.

Over 10 hours?? Were you encoding or multiplexing?? You need to have both audio and video encoding deselected.

Also as I said the DVD quickbuilder demo can multiplex VOB's. It supports AC3, etc. but only one stream.
