I own this Sony DVD player and it is freezing when it reaches a high chapter number in a given DVD (say 25, I don't remember the exact number).
Does anybody had this problem :confused: Is there any software workaround that I can apply myself ?

how old is your player m8ty , the lasers can become tempramental , also have u tired cleaning it ?

sony can be very fussy is it on dvdr or on all dvd s if its dvdr it could be media problam

I'm using conventional media (movies rented from Blockbuster). I'm not using DVD-R or other stuff. And this problem only occurs when the movie has more than 25 chapters. For movies that are below this mark, everything runs fine.

I would be inclined to get a DVD lens cleaner for your Sony, I run a Sony s735 and clean the lens on a periodic basis. Those DVD's from Blockbuster can get really dirty with all those kiddies finger prints all over them.
