Just got my ps2 chipped with messiah chip, the cdr work straight away but when i try to put play dvdr they dont work, the dvdr are on datasafe generation 3 dvdr, please someone help

datasafe are fine for PCS/xbox- not so good on PS2 as it's laser is dodgy to say the least.

try apple/verbs or pioneer or take it back to chipper and ask him to show you dvdr working...

Also follow the boot procedure for the chip.....

maybe the laser needs cleaning

Double tap reset to play DVD and Ps1 backups

i suggest verbatim DVD-r and nero test ur backup on someone elses working system to see if ur media is the prob.
