alright, i just got an xbox and now i want to chip it. So what do i need?

1. how do i get xbox games and where?

2. are there any "knife" methods?

3. what programs do i need to burn the games and do all that ish?

4. is dvd burner required?


I'm too lazy to browse through the cdrom-guide and i apologize for not browsing. I just want to get a direct answer.

another question- instead of chipping it, is there an alternative route to play burn games? i read somewhere, that you can copy the game into the harddrive? does that require a chip?

u need to chip it or they is another thing called openbox but that still needs soldering like a chip

the thing i dont get is, what is evox? i read the FAQ about transfering data to your xbox harddrive. What is the point of that? and where can i get the programs of doing that? it also said that some "certain" cd-r will/not work. Can you define that?

as far as i know no cdr will work with out a modifaction (some peeps say they have cdr working )
dvd-r is better for loading times and also u will be able to get more games
but u will need a chip using evolution bios or one with a hd hack on it to install a larger hdd for playing games from xbox (or keep on pc and transfer as needed to xbox)
