ok i installed windows xp on my computer today over windows me, but when i rebopot the computer or start up the computer it gets toa question asking me which os i want to start up.... windows xp or windows...how can i possibly get rid of this? because when i selected regular windows it goes to dos prompt (i guess i installed windows xp over windows me)
does anyone know how to removie this question from boot up?

edit the boot.ini file in your root directory

They say the best thing to do is a fresh install because when you go over the top of another operating system you inherit some of there bugs from that previous system, and i have seen it happen.

Especially since you've just installed it today, you really have nothing to lose by repartitioning, reformatting and reinstalling. As jonno112 stated, it could save you a lot of problems in the future.
