Yeah, usually we nuke these vcd topics too.

Really, I dont see the point as the PC your wrote the message with plays vcds just fine & free, find a player at download.com search there for 'vcd' eaaaaaasy.

yeah but handyguy, some of us really can't stand sitting at our PC desks to watch a movie and would much prefer to sit at their sofa with a remote control on a big screen TV with sum food and a leg rest <goes off day dreaming...lol>
I assume alot of people are like me, and don't find sitting a PC, as "relaxing" as on the nice big sofa with some pop and a remote;)

There is a vcd player that lets youp lay like a 20 minutes tops. But it's not worth it.

get an Apex-1100W ... plays every format (dvd,vcd,svcd,mp3) only bad opinion is that it cant play divx.

hooks right up to the tele, and its cheap to ;) ($60)

Yep, I also usually suggest getting the Apex 1500 (this has lcd screen). Plays whatever you throw at it. If you get a lucky serial nbr you can hack it for some interesting benefits.

VCD on a widescreen tv? Doesn't that look kinda blocky?

LOL! Like Handyman mentions about the Apex 1500, there also exists an excellent firmware hack for the Apex 1100W (1MB drive version)
.. the flashing of the drive will disable macrovision and allow you to play any region dvd.
