1)I have heard that Princo DVD-R's will not work on some PS2 versions----which versions are they? I have a Version 4 SCPH-30001 U4 PT14 PS2 console. Do you think they will work?

2) Is it true that DVD rips will affect laser life? what about other formats?

3) Is there anything that I should do to improve the life of my laser, or anything that I should stay away from?

Thanks guys

I recommend seaching this forum with words like "laser" "princo" etc etc. This question has been asked many times within this forum. Someone made a good post about this topic.

hey luv2trade i ordered 3 dvd-r from u, madden, ncaa, and nfl 2k3 and only 1 worked properly. Ncaa wored well and it was on a white top dvd-r with nothing writen on teh front except ncaa 2003, now the others madden and nfl 2k3 they ddint work well at all they skipped constantly. They were also white top dvd-r's but they were a little different, they have writing on them that said dvd-r for general or soemthing like that, i dunno if it was the same media r not but the only one that worked was the plane white top dvd-r of ncaa 2003. The others with dvd-r for general on them didnt work right. Anyway i mailed the 2 that didnt work back to u about a week and a half ago. Ive emailed u several times but i got no reply. Please send me new copied of maddena nd nfl 2k3. I already sent the messed up copies back to u.

Yes, I'm closing this because of.... well I think most of us know why.

All depends on your particular PS2, some media may work fine...others not. A case of try and see. If you do a search on "media" "DVD-R" "princo" etc you will find loads of info on this. ;)
