Int3g_Type_R Aug 31, 2002, 10:39 PM http://www.cdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=106656 <~here CousinFizz Sep 01, 2002, 03:23 AM Also see if the game has Pars so you can recover the Rar you're missing... Just use SmartPar to do so... handyguy Sep 01, 2002, 11:55 AM Requests, not surprising, go in the request folder at the top. Encript Sep 01, 2002, 02:40 PM Really i didnt know what par files were thanks handy guy. I would always leave them and say who needs these. Now i know i feel so silly...lol Encript Sep 01, 2002, 02:52 PM Thanks cousinfizz and handyguy brite_celly Oct 27, 2002, 10:24 AM So in order to replace a missing file, you have to download another file (the PAR) to begin with? I am getting a CRC error when i unpack the 5th file of a game. What is the best thing i should do? the size is the same as the rest of the files. Should i download another 5th file, or do the PAR thing? thanks a lot diskdocx Oct 27, 2002, 10:49 AM it means that your file #5 is corrupt. If you use the sfv file with a checker (ie winsfv or other similar programs) you will get a crc error on that file. You can try to download the file again, preferrably from a different source, or if you have the PAR files, use one of them to recreate file #5. You will need a PAR program (called Mirror I believe) to recreate this file. |
