hi there.
i am wondering if anyone out there could help me with the problem i'm having with a cd rewriter i have fitted.when you start up the pc it is recognised in the bios and is even recognised in "my computer".
i have tried to make a copy of an audio cd using clone cd and nero but for some reason it wont work.this is very strange because i had absolutely no problems at all with it when it was installed in my own pc (it was running on windows me in my machine).
i have tried to use the drive to read and write the disc and it manages to read it fine on both programs but when it comes to writing the image to a blank cd-r it gets to about 5% and then just errors.i cant remember the error message i get from clone cd but nero gives me an error message of "invalid block address".i have tried updating the aspi drivers to 4.71 but still get same problem.it is being used on windows 98 se.
the drive is being run a a slave, coyuld this be the problem???
i'm also using memorex 700mb cd-r but i don't think its the media as i used these with the same drive when it was installed in my machine.
any help would be much appreciated as it is really baffling me how it dont work now yet worked a treat in my own machine.
sorry for long message but wanted to leave as much info as poss.
