is the samsung cdrw sw240 compatible with nero?

well to answer my own question for anyone else that might be wondering too. yes it does.

i went to best buy and bought a samsung sw-240 burner today for $44($74-$30 REBATE). my old samsung 208 worked great with nero for 2 years so i figured it would be supported by nero as well. i got home and nero said it was an unsupported recorder. i went to the nero site and looked at the list and it was not listed. i was ready to rip the cd-rw out of my computer and return it for the more expensive sw-232 but then i checked the nero updates. they just released an update 5.5.9.9 on aug 30th. i ran that and now it works.

so yes the samsung sw-240 cd-r/w is supported by nero but you must use the 5.5.9.9 update
