Ive found out why the GCN discs wont read in our DVD drives on a PC!
The reason being If you carefully look at the inner edge of a GCN disc and hold it up to the light..... see the transparent area on the inner data side of the disc? - THATS THE PROBLEM!
Its just like cutting or scratching lines all around the edge of a disc and expecting it to read!

im not sure if pc dvd drives have a potentiometer to adjust the calibration of the laser but if so couldnt it be tampered with to try to get the dvd drive to kind of "skip" the barcode hole and read the data?
