I just installed CDRWIN 5 to use with my new Lite-On 40x12x48. I notice that it is setting up a virtual drive called Image Simulation. Is there a way to keep it from setting this up and if I can, what effect does it have on the use of the program?

From memory it is an option you can disable when installing.

FYI - I downloaded & installed this by mistake believing it was the latest version of the popular BIN create/burn proggie. Then couldn't uninstall it coz it disabled CD devices in W2K. You'd be better off with a different proggie as it's options are fairly limited.

The version of CDRWin (V5), is nothing to do with Golden Hawk, I had problems with this version, and emailed GH, they are trying to find the distributors of this program, with a view to suing. Evidently it causes numerous problems.
The latest version from GH, is 4.0a.
