Backing up Warcraft 3

Does anyone know what program to use to backup WC3? I tried Nero 5, but it didn't work.

You need to use a RAW copy program such as Clone CD, BlindWrite, CD Mate, Alcohol, etc. Nero is no good unless you want to use a crack to run the game.

1st of all, you've got to use CloneCD for games.
From what I've heard this game uses a new version of SecuRom, and is therefore harder to copy. However, there are some discussions about this protection and CloneCD profiles that may help over at cdfreaks.

If your burner can copy securom your all set. Use these settings. I used them with my liteon 24102b and clone cd with no prob at all.



To read:
Simply check off read subchannel data from data tracks (only)


to write:
select buffer underrun (only)

Where are these options? When I go to read the only option I can check is 'create cue sheet'...and when I go to change preferences, I can't find these two anywhere.

If it is Clone CD4 then there are settings under the drives properties and settings under each profiles properties.

I use clone cd version 3331. I don't like the new setup of clone. By trying to simplify things, I think they made it more confusing for most users. I prefer to set everything myself from the beginning.

hey, wat i used was clone cd, but it didnt make a PERFECT copy. u could use the cd to install the game, but when i tried to start the game, it couldnt find the cd. so just burn using clone cd, then u can use that cd to install the game, then goto www.gamecopyworld.com and find the no-cd crack. then the game should be perectly installed AND u wont need a cd anymore........hope that helps

Hi, I'm new and I have tried to use CloneCD but it doesnt work, I choose the 2CDs icon to copy, but i get an error before it starts writing, I have HP100j dvd writer & Pioneer dvd RW dvdr-104. I used BlidWrite to copy my original CD but when i try to play, it ask me for the CD to put it in the Writer, and I have the copy in the cd drive. Can anyone tell me how to make a copy, I have the original copy, just don't want to get the original get that scratched. thanks.

Probably neither of those drives supports RAW DAO... I don't think the 104 even supports RAW SAO and I don't see either of them on the Clone CD hardware requirements page.

Without the correct equipment Clone CD can't do it's job.

Hmm, on second thoughts, the HP100i is either a rebadged Phillips or Ricoh drive and the Ricoh definatly supports RAW DAO as do all the Phillips models listed on the Clone CD page.

Newer securom titles contain an ATIP check and therefor can't be run in a CDRW drive without something like Clone CD's hide CDR enabled. This could be your problem.

get a liteon dvd reader and a liteon cd writer ,most of them support efm,and you will be able to back up almost any thing.takes a long time to create some images of securom and safedisc using clone but its worth it in the long run, as you will get perfect backups.it will only cost you about 70 or 80 quid to get the liteon drives but it will stop you getting coasters or having to get cracks for everygame.

Securom doesn't use EFM encoding, also a lite-on shouldn't really take any longer to make a securom image compared to make a regular image, they read subchannels quite quick.

is there any update to backing up of warcraft 3?i have alcohol 120% will this copy warcraft perfectly so i can play on battlenet. (the crack wont allow you to play on bnet)
