I'm confused man.

When I introduced the new XP disc to my drive, I accessed the " compatibility" site and looked for compatibility for my new $459.00 HP office-jet V-40 all-in-one and it was listed as Win XP compatible, sooooooooooooo, I go ahead and start the install.

fterwhich I discover the V-40 stops working and i get a message that says HP office-jet is not compatible and will not run with XP!

I then go to HP website and they tell me they are NOT going to offer patches or drivers to make it compatible. This is a NEW printer!.... Was this an oversight or can I expect SOMEBODY to put the heat on HP or XP mfg'ers to get a patch for this in the future, whats the deal, can anyone help!

thanks :zombie:

Download win 2k drivers, they work fine. Xp and 2k are the same thing just newer with more stuff.
