Hi all,
Just looking for your views on CD Duplicators. I currently back up a lot of karaoke (CD+G) discs and PC, PS1, PS2 games. My main PC which is quite fast is the one I use to convert DVD's, run an FTP, run an IRC fserve, surfing the net etc.
So I have started using my server to copy CD's on. The problem is until I put a new hard drive into it I am left with a very slow 3 GB hard drive. When I copy any CD's the buffer immediatley drops to 1% and stays there for the rest of the burn. This doesn't cause too much of a problem cause the drive is BURNProof but stops me from writing any faster.
I have seen a bare CD Duplicator for * £140 and all you do is put in a CD Reader and a Writer and everything is just a simple one button operationfrom then on. You can even connect it via USB to your PC to use the drives on your PC.
The link to the website is: http://www.starmount.co.uk/cd_dup2.htm
I have searched around the internet and not been able to find any tech specs fir the controller. i.e. does it support copying CD+G, PS1, PS2, subchannel, ISRC codes etc. If the controller simply passes whatever the drive can read to whatever the writer can write then that is great cause the drives I will be using will support all of the above.
If anybody has any additional info on this controller or links to other such controllers I would greatly appreciate it.
TIA
