First off I dont have a DVDR just a CDRW drive.


I asked if I could make backups on cdr and i was told YES but it would be SLOW.


Now Im told CDR will never work on the XBOX but some CDRW will :confused:


But on some NFOs it says Burn to a CDR. :confused:


Why would they be ripped to fit on CDR if they will never work on CDR.

Also when on a cdrw or cdr is the actual gameplay slower or just the loading times.

You may have some luck with cd-r if you find the right brand...but your liekly to have better luck with cd-rw. Loading times are effected as the dvd-rom laser has a harder time tracking. You may also get issues with FMV skipping. Gameplay may be effected. Performance is dependant on the brand of media. Obviously some is better than others.

Thanx I will give it a try later when I get my XBOX back :D I have Verbatim, Philips and disk house grade A.

cdrws are so much more reliable. I havent got a single cdr to work no matter what speed i burn. But Verbatim cdrws work super!!!! I would reccoment them for sure ;)

Only certain (thompson, I think?) drives seem to play cdrs
