If i buy some vcd's from the buy & sell forum and we know they are on cd-r's. We know the xbox won't read them, and i am too lazy to try and stream them over using the media player. I should be able to take those cd-r's, copy them onto cd-rw's and also put onto those cd-rw's the media player, and then finally play them on the xbox. Could some explain how to do this in a bit more detail? ie, do you put the media player onto the cd-rw first, then the movie, and what options to burn with?

You put the vcd file in the media directory of the media player software. Burn using my guide in the FAQ folder.

I read the tutorial. I have Nero but i imagine the steps are similar. Also, since i will put the vcd onto a cd-rw, each time i get a new vcd, i should be able to just copy over the cd-rw with the old movie.
