Just wondering how long should i expect to burn a dvd? I know I will burn it at like 1X so how long does it usually take to burn a dvd game?? just the burning process?? thanx for you help!!

a full 4.7 gig dvd-r at 1x should be around 40min to 1 hr max.
Some say it depends on media, because some cheap *** media takes awhile to "close" the disc - I dunno why.

anyhow, with my pioneer 104, usually ~40min to 1hr

Well, depends on the size of the game & what writer you have & your computer speed & your media--alot of things I do not know.

well i have a dvd+r burner and it takes about 20 minutes to burn a 4.5 gb iso

Dvd+r must be the best then.

DVD-r takes 52min for Doa3

DVD+r is faster, but not widly supported

i got a dvd-r/rw, and 1x burns are good, 2x burns are very inconsistent, is this the same for dvd+r/rw?

-r drives are better they also work for the ps2.

I want to copy Xbox DVDRs as well as PS2 & Movies..
Which burner do you think would be better for me from your personal experience and also how much do you reckon I should pay for it??

The pioneer 104 writes at 2x mate but only on 2x certified media such as Verbatim, TDK, Pioneer e.t.c

takes 30 mins to do a full dvdr at 1x

takes an hour at 2x,

if your burning for your box tho i recommend choosing a sample pack of media and try out which your box likes

You got it the wrong way round, it takes an hour at 1x and 30 mins at 2x
