Hey guys i just got a Voodoo 3 200 AGP Card of Ebay.

In Windows XP when i install the drivers on reatarting i get a white screen but if i press F8 and select Enable VGA Mode on Startup it works untill i try to change the resolution or colour depth then it just crashes again.

In Windows 98 the drivers install and the mouse end turns into a massive square.

I have a PC Chips m/board 810lmr and this agp card was bought to upgrade from on/board graphics.

Any help would me mostly appreciated

Many Thanks

Richard

I think so mate the Bios automatically switches to AGP when you insert a card but having said that you can manually swictch between:

OnBoard AGP and PCI

Both Work so im sure it's not that could it possibly not be compatiable

Many Thanks

Look again at the slot, the 810 can only support a limited range of AGP cards, there should be a sticker on the base of the slot, as well as documented in the manual, informing you the ones thats been tested and certified to work in the AGP slot.

Make sure you have the newest drivers

May be worth checking the BIOS, and making sure the onboard Graohics is disabled, because, if you don't disable the onboard sound when you install a sound card, you do have problems.
