Am I right in thinking that RecordNow is Prassi Primo rebadged?
In any case, Prassi seems more reliable to me - no bad burn yet.

record now is the new version of prassi by the looks of it, same interface etc and works just as good.

A freind of mine has given me the link to the free trial of recordmax and i am downloding it now but it looks exactly the same as prassi primo but thats to be expected as this is from the company that bought out prassi i beleive.

record now max is just a new version of prassi - they renamed it instead of giving it a new version number - you cant buy prassi now

I use Nero with no problems (yet!)
using version 5.5.9.6 ok.

not tried Prassi yet so unable to compare the 2.

just downloaded RecordNow and done a retail dvd using the copy dvd function. recorded onto the bulkpaq gen 3 (purple) discs and guess what....

It worked!!! In both my Pacific 1002 dvd player AND my ps2!!!

Am very impressed! esp considering the media used. Only got the dvd burner today so have been experimenting with burning proggys all day. so far record now is definately the best.

cheers

Just tried it out of curiosity.
Tried a DVD-r that would not copy 1:1 with Nero to test it. Hey Presto!!!
It worked. Think i'm converted.

I changed from Nero to Record Max about a week ago and have had great success.

With NERO you must use DVDROM UDF/ISO otherwise they wont play on many players

with stomp recordnow max, can you add an audio ts folder b4 burning? reason i ask is i record films using a panasonic e30 dvd recorder and it only records a video ts folder, some dvd players won't play dvdr without an audio ts folder

When I add files to be written, I include the video_ts and audio_ts folders that I get from DVDXCOPY and it burns the disc fine.

You should always add a AUDIO_TS folder if you want it to play on the most standalones possible, also make sure it is in caps as this is very important.
