You probably want a Pioneer A04/104.

Anyway, I'm moving this to consumer's opinion.

a04 with the latest firmware is tops.has problems with previous release recognising blanks but now can use everything ive got (even 1st gen bulkpak!!!!!)

the latest pc pro says the pioneer dvd-ao4 has the disadvantage of the dvd-rw format, ie slower then the dvdr r+,the pioneer is best for those wanting the highest level of compatability.they like the aopendvdrw2412pro a dvdr+r format.they say the new panasonic multi drive on the horizonso the ao4 they cant recommend outright. i will personally see which format wins,like beta vhs the worst won at the end.we shall see.colin
