Ok, I know from reading this forum that some of you are going to tell me to read the board and faq's. Before you tell me that, let me state that I have already been there and done that I that I do not understand very much, maybe I am just being dense :zombie:

Please someone have mercy and answer my questions in the most simple way possible, maybe someday I can retun the favor.

I want to make backup copies of my orignal PS2 games to keep them from becoming worn and scratched, etc.

1. Is there a program that will allow me to duplicate my originals and then burn them to my CD-RW drive ? Please list the program(s) and where I can obtain them.

2. I keep reading about these "mod chips". Are these required to play your backup games ?

3. Any insturctions and directions to get a "newbie" started would be most helpful.

Remember, please be kind, I have read the fourms and faq's, as a matter of fact I have spent all day reading and I need additional help.

Thanks in advance,

Pete - email: petepope@yahoo.com

1). NERO will burn them fine, available from: http://www.ahead.de
2). Depending on which modchip you get you might or might not need instructions to boot them. If you can afford it, get the MESSIAH modchip or clone as this direct boots everything with no need to swap.
3). Just read more threads !
