I was doing some digging in my hardware shelf and among some really weird stuff (486 33mhz!!) I came across my first liteon24x drive...

I had the tray ejecting problem and didnt bother with warranty and stuff, simply got a new one..

Now I wonder if there's a firmware out that fixes it.. Has anyone tried this?

Seem to recall that there was a firmware upgrade for the drive as well as a BIOS upgrade from ABit. Both fixed the problem.

Yep, as celtic said it was only an issue with Abit boards IIRC which was solved by a BIOS flash.
