daghostmon Sep 09, 2002, 11:32 PM I can't see how a regular headset would work. I took the black box module thats in between the headphones and the usb plug that came with the game and theres alot of stuff in there. Theres components on both sides of the circuit board and has a crystal and 3 IC's in it along with several diodes, caps and resistors.

kdawg Sep 14, 2002, 02:45 AM I would just buy the socom one.....it is only $25.....doubt you'll find one cheaper than that.

FARTY Sep 16, 2002, 05:24 AM I have a Plantronics DSP-500 USB headset,
$109.00US, so it's not cheap.
And it doesn't work with SOCOM.
So strike that one off your list of potential replacements.:bang:
