i have a mitsumi 4804 te on a pentium 600 running xp..

recently i have been burning some cd-r's and i am unable to boot any of them up (or even even open them up to see if data has been recorded to them) on my cd rom(same 1 i use to burn, but when i take them to my office's pc they work fine..

the old cd's that have burned still operate perfectly fine. i am at a loss to explain what is up???

Anyone help me out??

Im guessing its a different media & your cdrom does not like them one bit when burned using the 4804, you may find that if you burn the said cdrs with a different burner your cdrom will read them ok

I had a 24X Lite-On would not read certain brands of Datasafe & Verbatim if burned using the Lite-On no matter what was on the cdr even with latest firmware, the cure was simple, I bought 2 40X's
