I was wondering if you need a battery in your saturn to do the swap trick? I've been trying to play a copy of burning rangers but I cant get it to boot. I think it might just be the game.

Mine died a long time ago and I took it out. NFERNO Sep 12, 2002, 12:13 AM The Battery has nothing to do with booting backups. The problem is the swap method. Lots of people will tell you "its so simple" but its a real hit and miss affair. Gocybershop.com has Saturn chips for $16. Took me 4 days to get it from them, and 5 minutes to install. I had never soldered before either, but its that easy to put in. Bishnubey Sep 12, 2002, 12:34 AM Thanks. I think I m might get that chip. But I did figure out how to do the swap trick, I just dont think it works on import games. NFERNO Sep 13, 2002, 12:56 AM I got it to work with some import games. I could boot Capcom Generations 2, but not 4. Go figure. |
