Bought a couple of DVD-r's on bst and most are perfect but got one the other day that will only play for a few seconds on my Pioneer 535 then freezes, I copied the disc onto another DVD-r thinking it was a media problem but the same thing happened, tried both discs in another DVD player and both worked fine all the way through, even tried to rip the movies and re author the films, it still happens, anyone had this or any ideas what the prob is.

are they multi movies on the dvdr that froze? if so i have had similar problems on some players where they play single titles but movies with menus they struggle

sounds like ur player doesnt like the way the dvds have been authored, ive got some films which wont play on one of my players but are fine on my other, these tend to be the ones done with spruce etc, retails and others authored with movie factory are ok..
