Failure to read sector What tha heck help help!

Ok i just now got into this burning stuff. I downloaded clony v.2.0.0.6 and clone cd 4. Im trying to make a back up copy of Marrow wind and nascar 2002. Ill start up clony click scan then i click the clone cd button. I only have 1 drive so i then click the write to image button. I click on the clony profile picture thingy and it will start to copy but then the log will start saying Failure to read sector # and it will keep saying that. Sometimes it will not say it until about half way through and sometimes it will say immeditally. One time it did make it all the way through with nascar 2002 but after i burned it on to the black cd and tried to play it, it gave me a message saying that the game caused an error and must be shut down. All the disks are clean with no scratches at all.

Can some body help me with this??

Some games use unreabable sectors as part of their protection against copying. In such cases you are supposed to get errors in the log.

You don't really need RAW-SAO if you have RAW-DAO.

i think the problem youve got is that your writer will not read the disc properly.some writers that are complient with clone will write a disc properlly but will not read them properly.

As I already said if the game uses unreadable sectors then you are going to get such errors no matter what writer/drive you are using to do the reading.

yea but the errors seem to be random. When trying to burn the same disk sometimes i will get errors at the begging and sometimes they at the end or even the middle.

Perhaps the disc is slightly damaged. Try slowing the read speed down and disabeling FES or increasing the read retries.
