I have the amd duron 1.2ghz cpu and was wondering what motherboard would be good to use and pretty much any other info that would be helpfull.

I just built an Athlon XP 2200 for my brother-in-law on the Abit KG7-RAID that we bought from this place (http://store.yahoo.com/justdeals/abkg7raidmot.html). It's cheap ($49.95 + S&H) and works great. This is a DDR RAID board that supports both Athlon XP & Duron CPUs so you can upgrade the CPU easily in the future.

Epox are making a new RAID board.

Doesn't sound thrilling hey, but, it's got 2 Standard IDE channels, and 4 Raid channels.

That means 12 devices

All for around £100

I want one as an upgrade to my current Epox RAID board which is superb

I have got the same 1.2 duron and I am using the ecs k7s5a board which support both sdram and ddr ram, It is very cheap and i have had no probs. Take a look at ebuyer.com for prices.

I would say get a ASUS A7V333-R onboard 5.1 sound, firewire, USB 2.0 166Mhz FSB support.
