I have the original 3 CD's of Mafia, and I would like to back it up, but I am having a very hard time. I am using Prassi Primo to back it up on 80 Min CD's But I keep getting errors in just the reading phase. How do you back this game up and what software is the best for it?
Thanks for any help

Read errors are part of the protection and is normal, try Clone cd if your burner is supported and use fast error skip to read disc/s, I recommend reading from latest original game discs at 4X

I tried Clone it still didn't work, It said it couldn't load the Cue sheet. I am using 80 Min CD's Does that have anything to do with it. The reason I am using 80 minute 700mb cd's is because Mafia is larger than the standard 650mb. Do I have to cut something out of the Game and then burn it? I am stumped.

Try getting CloneXXL and CLoneCD, Run CloneXXL and follow the instructions how to back up what ever protection it has.

And 80min cds has nothing to to with it.

As far as I know Mafia is protected with SafeDisc2. If you copy the original with Nero then you won't get a working copy as Nero can't do 1:1 SD2 copies.

My Clone CD settings for SD2 (and therefor Mafia) are for reading FES enabled using software mode on 0 retires reading at max speed, nothing else enabled. Write at Max speed in RAW DAO with Always close last session enabled and nothing else.

However those are just the settings that I use.. They may not work for you, especially because we are talking about SD2 here. If your writer does not support correct EFM encoding of regular bitpatterns then you will need to enable AWS when writting.

I used PlexWriter 24/10/40A, CloneCD version 4.0.1.10 (latest version), and CDR80 disks to successfully copy this game. Since CloneCD 4.0.1.10 is the latest version, you don't need to adjust any setting. Just insert the original game disk for reading step, CloneCD will automatically seeks the best setting for appropriate game protection. Then later on, rewrite from the image you just created (choose 1X writing for compatibility with older drives). Hope it helps.

Clone CD does not automatically seek the best settings for the game.
