I am looking to purchase a DVD writer. Which one is recommended? Does it matter on the blank dvd format? As well as the writer what else is required to make my own DVD's?
Is making DVD's as easy as CD's?

thanks

It is not as easy as CD's.

The blanks do matter, there are different formats and most drives only support 1 so you have to get the correct format blanks or it won't recognise them.

Anyway, I'm moving this to consumer's opinion.

i will also recommend the pioneer dvr-104

i got mine for about 265, and that was 3-4 months ago... probably cheaper by now, works flawlessly and same thing as the retail A04 without throwing down the big bucks
