I want to disable almost everything in windows, which is going ok at the moment apart from two things.

1) How can you disable the taskbar in windows?

2) Is there a way to get powerpoint to automaticaly start a slideshow
when a saved file is loaded?

You can't disable the task bar but you can hide it. Right click on task bar, select properties, select Autohide. If you want to make it hard to find, move it to the top of the screen (drag & drop) and then hide it.

For powerpoint that autoruns as a slide show, click on file -> save as, and change the type to PowerPoint Show.
