Hi,

Question: I have copied a few DDR cd's downloaded from the internet and am wondering why they will not boot. They sit there at a *distorted* screen on my PS1 and on my PS2, the CD is verified (shows up in the boot menu), but when i select it, the screen fades followed by returning back to the menu screen. Does anyone know what causes this? Is this a sign of a bad image? I would assume this is not true, since the cd is detected as a PS1 CD. Possibly a setting or something? Not quite sure. Any comments from the community?

Thanks! :)

Sorry for not being more clear on that. Yes, I have a mod chip in both of the systems. And they both work with games that I have copied locally. This only happens with some games that I have gotten from the internet. I think they work for others, so I am thinking it could be something I am doing wrong.

Thanks!

may be it is a bad burn? or the image is corrupted? i have a couple games that just go blank after boot up.

I'm not sure. I know its not my CDBurner or media (If i copy other games it works fine). I have seen it on about 5-7 images before and it baffels me every time. It's getting harder to find those DDR imports i really want, so I was hoping this time I could get this all figured out. Thanks for the help DC, if you have any more suggestions/ideas, id really appreciate it!

Scan the images with binchunker or cdmage before burning.
If any corruption is detected throw the image away and save your blanks for something else.

Hey Zedy:
Thanks I have never encountered that program before. I scanned the image and it had no errors. I am not sure where to go from here? It looks like the data is in the bin file, so what could be causing this? It certainly is strange.

Thanks!
