please any advice on the below would be good

Having problems booting my Action Replay 2 disks - the disk spins out 9 times in 10. I brought a new AR2 disk and the same thing happened (DAMN!!)

PS2 Original CDs and DVDs boot up ok and I have cleanes the lens for good measure.

Should I calibrate the lazer?

In my stress i have managed to screw up the AR2 card now when it does load that one time in ten it crashes when it downloads the codes.

Is there a way of reseting the card back to factory defaults?

I have tried holding the collar buttons and start on boot to no avail

What version is you PS2, you probably need the newest version of the Gameshark2 disk

its a ver 6 - but the original ar2 disk used to woork no problem

to reset the AR2 put the CD in and tap reset.
hold all shoulder buttons plus start and select.
when the cd loads up it should either ask you if you want to reset the card or it will start doing it automatically (dont feel like trying it as i have a roughly 130 line GTA3 code on there that i dont feel like loosing lol)

i seem to remember calibrating the lazer in my ps1 for gold disk

We think its located this way:
try the 'search this forum' box & put in a key word for the search, you'll have your answer.

Key words are more than three letters, e.g. 'manual,' 'version', 'name of a game,' 'nero', 'backup' 'AR2.1"
" messiah", "region", "pioneer" "media' " GameShark" "patch" "dvd-r" "dvdr" "power" "tray" "knife trick" "black" "covers" "FAQ" Etc.

i'll take that as a NO then :)

worked it out!!

i was comparing the ar2 disk to other disks working dvds cds backups and retail and that the difference was that the inside circle was transaparent on the ar2 disk - so i coloured it in with a black permanent marker.

you know what it worked!!!!

i got ar2 disk and dongle from play.com and the update disk from codejunkies.co.uk (official site)
