Is there a way to change the background pics and loading pics on evolution-x without having to use a computer? i dont have a crossover cable so the only way i would be able to do this is if there is a way to burn the pics and what ever else i need to a cdrw and then install them to the hard drive.

yep,

burn your skins to a DVD-R or CDRW along with a bootable copy of boxplorer. Boot that up and then copy the skins to the c:\skins directory
on the xbox hard drive

Ok i got a folder made on the c: drive called skins and i put two pics and a skin.ini file for the pics that i downloaded, but it stayed the same, how do i get the evolution blue screen to change to the pics of the shrooms.........the pics i put into the skins folder.....the folder that i had to make cause it wasnt there before ;)

go into sysytem settings/skins and choose from there (assuming you made the skins correctly)

if im starting from nothing..... what are the steps i need 2 follow to change my skins, and where do i get all the files?

Ok i was told on another forum that im not using the newest build of evox dashboard and he was right, the evolutionx im using i installed by burning a file called goldberg.iso onto a cdrw and then it did eveything for me, but its the old dashboard, so i downloaded the new iso but i cant seem to figure out how to install it since that last one i installed was done with the goldberg iso for dumbass's.......can i install it over the old one and can someone please help me through this cause i dont want to mess anything up as i dont have a bcakup of my c: drive cause i aint got no crossover cable to hook up to my comp with.......weehhh that was alot to say...going to get a beer now.

By the looks of it the new stuff would have to be the skins, and i burned the new one onto a cdrw and it worked but i just couldnt seem to get it onto the harddrive so i could boot it up from that instead of the cdrw, everytime i did that it would go back to the older evox and would be missing boxplorer....................can some one please help us newbies out here, we really dont want to do any harm to our xboxs
