for ex: i see a lot of people complaints about max payne being too large i.e over 4.7gb but i just rented a ripped to see how large its and its only 1.5gb

so there must be a diff. on the retaill and rented games

If you put the original in your PC, you don't get all the files you know??? Cuz its like protected.

Yeah, the USA version is about 1.5GB, the PAL version has French, English, Spanish and German? if you get rid of all the languagesyou don't need it s drops the game down to about the same size.

And direct answer to your question: No, most rental places (including the chains) get there games directly from the manufacture and they are rental/retail versions.

hmmmmm i thought rentals ones are diffrent then the sale version
as in all rentals places they get like a video tape which is none standard
and all so xbox games are tooo
they are normal a little bit diffrent as it goes on rental a lot
so hence wear on the disk
they use diffrent kind of disks but not that much diffrent

You thought wrong. Rental and Retail games are identical.

Just to back them up, there is absolutely NO difference between a rental game or a retail game. All Blockbuster does is buy a bunch of the same game, and rents them out to people. They also add a sticker to the top that is supposed to stop you from stealing the game, but the actual game itself is no different from the one you'd find in the store.
