Hi I have a psx2 version 4. I would like to know how to backup games like Grand Theft Auto 3 which are over 4 gigs. I have a Pioneer A04 dvd writer.
What programs can I use to do this and is there anyway to compress larger games and still have them play on the ps2. I have a mod chip installed as well as a gameshark for the system. Any information would be helpful. Thank You in advance.:)

Yeah that would be great but it appears lots of people can't find it, so:
Also try the 'search this forum' box & put in a key word for the search, you'll have your answer.
Key words are more than three letters, e.g. 'manual,' 'version', 'name of a game,' 'nero', 'backup' 'AR2.1"
" messiah", "region", "pioneer" "media' " GameShark" "patch" "dvd-r" "dvdr" "power" "tray" "knife trick" "black" "covers" "FAQ" Etc.

Ok I copied the game Grand Theft Auto 3 with Prassi. It said it completed sucessfully but I can't get it to play in the PSX2. I looked up dvd-r boot method at consolesource.com and followed the instructions but I still can't get the game to play. I put the disc in my computer and all the files appear to be on the disc. Please Help!!!

What DVD Original game are you using? The TOC on GTA3 is around 4.32, only games I know that are bigger than that are:
Devil may Cry Full or Demo
MGS2
Silent Hill
Stuntman

I used Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty and it did not work. Any suggestions? Is there any other way to boot it up. I used the dvd-r boot method from consolesource.com is there any other information available from another source for booting dvd-r media.
