Hi all,
just a general question. I am not looking for vendor services.
How much are average prices to have an all in one (no gameshark) mod ship
installed. Ex: M3
A shop in Toronto charges $250 CAD for the install, and that is, if the PS2 is
a certain model (im guessing older ones).
The mod with a game shark costs $180 CAD.

Is this the going rate or is my buddy getting boned?

Well I just had an Apple Modchip installed which is one of the best ones, and the chip itself was $60, and I had to pay $45 installation, and $15 shipping, so a total of $120 and that is no-swap, no gameshark. So it looks like the prices you are looking at are pretty high.

I dunno about CAD, but a no swap Magic/Apple chip with install will run you from $140~$170 USD. Depending on where. Install itself is about $50-70 bucks depending on where, if you get a chip yourself from say lik-sang, you might save some $$ and just pay someone to mod it.

I would just go with a no-swap mod. So much more convienent.

Yeah, whats up is that forum invisible? Maybe if we put it in flashing text?

Try Reading/Posting at the MOD CHIP forum on the board, it's 1st message on the board:
