I've got a question. I There's a red collored ribbon cable connected to the PS2 mainbord, that I can't remove. It's a cable that comes from the DVD drive and goes to the PS2 mainbord, in a black shaped box. The box looks like a socket so I tried to pull out the cable savely, but that didn't worked.
How do you remove that cable, do I need to pull harder, or is there a special way to get it lose.

Thankx!

there should be something like a little "hatch" above at the top of the connector. all you have to do is lift it up for easy removal. at least there should be a hatch.

same way

All ribbons are secured by the clip looking thing, just lift the clip with a small flathead and pull the ribbon out

Some of the cables have the little latch thing, the others have a pull tab (so pull on it and not the ribbon).
