I am atttempting to burn a compilation of audio tracks to a CD to play at my Halloween display. I need to paste several wav tracks together in order to stay within the maximum number of tracks allowed on an audio CD. I was using the Sound Editor that comes with Easy CD Creator Platinum (my burning program). My problem is that many of the "WAV" files (when I attempt to paste them together) say that the "format" does not match and that if I proceed it will sound like noise (which it does). I quickly found out that I know little to nothing about WAV files and how to edit them. Could someone recommend a specific web site for me to go to learn about this topic? Is there a program that is user-friendly to edit different kinds of WAV files? I tried Audacity and also the WavTrim and both are saying that the files are not "PCM" or something. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

The maximum number of tracks (http://www.disctronics.co.uk/technology/cdbasics/cd_specs.htm) is 99. To get 99 tracks on an 80 min CD you're average length is 48.5 seconds.

That aside if you want to join wav files try MP3 Workshop (www.mp3workshop.cjb.net). If your burnware is complaining about the wav files use MP3 Workshop to resample them, this will ensure they are 'audio CD complient' wavs.
