I bought the blade 2 dvd and I wanna rip it to divx like ive done a hundred times, cept I can't get it to rip. I always use smartripper and when it gets to 52% done ripping it just stops, the dvd-rom drive just hums and the program stops responding. I thought smartripper was being stoopid ;P and I got DVD Decrypter and it did the same thing, it froze as 52%. Well, I thought, vStrip can rip anything on this planet so I tried that and guess what? 52%. What the hell is doing this? I think this is a dual layer disc cause the movie is 7 gigs, could that be it? What can I do?

i ripped blade2 using claddvd then flask to convert into mpeg

hmm interesting, I haven't tried Clad, however if it works, the other programs should too. I'm starting to think my dvd just has some bad sectors at a certain spot which is causing it to stop at 52%.

Ya, it's the disc. I ripped using smartripper and it works fine as a DVD. I haven't tried to convert to DivX, but Blade 2 is certainly rippable.
