can someone tell me or direct me to a page where i can get the information for taking the credits out of a movie using vobedit (or another program if someone knows of one). Also, i was wondering if i am still able to remove the credits, if i use the copy method in the newbie guide on this site, or if i need to rip the movie another way. Thanks for any help i can get.

open the vob file which you want to edit....then demux it via cell ID's...the resulting file will give you 4 or 5 different vobs that compose to make the original vob...from the new vobs creatted....open the last one in VOBsplit....split the vob....replace the vob with the original one..the join the vobs back together using Vobedit..

at which point would i do this procedure, After spruce or before spruce. I use the method in smart ripper, where i select the video and one audio stream and click demux to extra file. It creates a m2v file and a ac3 file, however, all the vobs it creates are 0k in size. Would i have to try a different ripping method? Thanks again for any information you can give me.

Well I'm not sure...I don't use the dvd2dvdr method...I use the ifoedit method and the files I rip are the actual files on the DVD. I can probably tell you an easier way to copy dvd's if you're not interested in keeping the menus and stuff.
