I have a DVD player Sony DVPNS705 but some of my DVD R skip and freeze near to the end or even in the middle of the movie they are on DVD R (choice brand) and I also have the same brand media off some one else and the movies play fine does it mean it is my DVD player or the speed or how the movies have been recorded. causing it to skip and freeze:gabby:

Could be a combination of both. Try burning at 1x first and see what happens, if that fails, try some different media.
