I have a huge 3.5 GB avi file(4 seasons of the simpsons all combined together into one file) I want to know if there is a way to convert this big file into a vob file or something to that effect that will just let me pop in the dvd-r into a DVD player and have the file play. I was just going to put chapter links in beween each episode so I can skip to which ever one I want. But is there an app capable of coverting this file into a dvd style format?? much love....:tup:

TMPGEnc can do it. Use the DVD template for your format (NTSC or PAL) and calculate the output size with a bitrate calculator. Go to www.doom9.net for the programs and guides you need. You still have to author the program to burn onto DVD, as you cant just put a file on a DVD-R and have it play on a DVD player. You'll need an Authoring program like SpruceUp or DVDit! to do that.
