Hi i just got my Pioneer DVR 104 3 days ago and so far im not impressed.
I have tried to back-up MGS2 on PS2 with no success.
I used Nero to make an image with no problems, next i tried to burn with nero at 1x and when it got to 65% it just stopped, the timer continued but the writer was idol and the LED had no colour (green or orange), i waited 3 mins and it stayed at 65%, i then aborted.
Before wasting another £1.50 i thought i should post in here and see if anyone could help.
My sytem is:
Athlon 1.33ghz
320mb sd ram
gf2 mx400
20gb and 8 gb HD

Burn properties were:
Pioneer DVR 104 Burner
Mirror Branded 4.7gb 1x DVD-R
Nero Burning Rom 5.5.9.9

If ANYONE can help me here plz post ur solution.
Thnx in advance.

Use Prassi. I have the 104 (same as A04), Prassi - do global image, then burn. As simple as that. 100% works. If you use good media or find one that your PS2 likes.

I successfully burn the MGS2 with my athlon 700MHz pc using Nero on the fly and also 104 burner, I don't know what happen to yours but I use princo media and turn out great without any problem.

If you want to experiment and don't wanna risk wasting DVD-Rs, then just use DVD-RWs.
