Hi All, All i seem to do is ask questions, i'm sorry i ive not the knowledge to give something back. I'm trying to save my laser on my ao3 cos its starting to struggle when reading so i installed an asus dvd drive to do my reading they are on seperate buses. When i record a disk on the fly it goes all the way through and completes, finalizes and then prassi tells me " Error 10 at sector 0 command 28 sense 03 asc 11 " Anyone got any ideas or is it not posible to write on the fly. Thanks for your time peeps

Would agree with donhay, tried it myself ended up selling the dvd reader and putting another 80gig drive to store things on, better writing from drive and more reliable

My Pioneer DVR-A03 or DVR-103 is giving me strange errors when writing a disk.
Is Prassi PrimoDVD or other CD-R/DVD-R burning software giving you errors like these?
Data Job Untitled1 Terminated with errors. Error -10 at Sector 288 - Command: 2A Sense: 04 ASC:08 ASCQ:01
Data Job Untitled1 Terminated with errors. Error -10 at Sector 1376 - Buffer Underrun - Command: 2A Sense: 05 ASC:21 ASCQ:02
Check to see if you have DMA enabled for the DVD drive. My Athlon 1.5GHz machine would not write a CD-R disk at 8x speed in polled mode (PIO); a few MB into a write I'd get errors such as those above. Everything worked fine as soon as I turned on DMA on that IDE channel (Win2k). With Windows 2000, this is in Device Manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, for the IDE channel you're using. With Windows 98, the DMA checkbox is set under My Computer/Properties/Device Manager/ CDROM/Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-103.

Ok i finally got it to work by changing the SmartRipper settings to NOT de-region or Macrovision the film (i have my doubts if this actually made any difference becuase most people seem to have these settings on) and then using the Recordnow max that i downloaded again which seems to be ok. Not sure why it didnt work before but hey..
The only thing is of course that this is only a 30 day trial version of the software so i guess i will have to go and buy a copy. Little peaved as i consider that i kinda bought it when i paid for the burner and got Prassi (which i understand is the old version and doesnt work with XP).
Oh well...
Thanks to everyone who helped me on this.
Happy new year.....
